Appliance layout

This article describes the functions of the status lights and button on the Secure Edge appliance.

Lights

Behavior Definition
Green and not blinking Appliance is powered on and connected to the Secure Edge service.
Blinking slowly The appliance is unable to connect to the internet.
Blinking quickly The appliance is able to connect to the internet but unable to reach the Secure Edge service.

This light currently has no purpose. It will not illuminate.

Behavior Definition
Green and not blinking The secure connection to applications is up and healthy.
Blinking slowly The secure connection to applications is down.
Blinking quickly The appliance configuration is updating. Allow five minutes for the process to complete.

Buttons

Function Device action
Press and release The appliance will restart.
Press and hold for 10 seconds The appliance will erase its configuration, reboot, and download a new configuration.*
* Do not erase your device unless instructed to do so by your IT department or managed service provider.

This button currently has no purpose and does not function.
